Whenever people ask why anyone makes open source software for free, I’m going to use this as a metaphor.

Dang, a whole dollar? I would sell origami tanks for 25¢ each, didn’t realize people would pay more than that.
That’s you assuming all things are equal.
I’m sure that copy of mother 3 is bootleg, right?
I had a similar experience. Never played the Hoenn games, but I have copies of both FireRed and LeafGreen.
The worst part is, she probably got very little for those Pokemon games that are now worth $100+ a piece.

Drives me crazy when I see this kind of format for things like programming. Nothing like pausing the video and trying to see what their code says.
Why does this comment show up as pinned?
A lot of people don’t like that they’ve basically inserted themselves as a man in the middle to a lot of internet traffic.
Exactly! Always push for code pointers for everything people tell you about the codebase. Even if the code has a bug and isn’t working as intended, it’s so important to know the actual truth if what’s happening.
An easy way to confirm your first point: would you still want to do it if you were paid significantly less? If so, then yeah, you’re in the right place.
So many problems can be solved by just reading the code. A corollary to this: make sure the code you write is readable.
Really though. Now that the sub is officially dead, people will start looking for an alternative.
Exactly. This event is an effort for them to prove that the platform is just as active and enjoyable as it was before the chaos.
Not worth watching past season 4, imo. Season 2 is the peak season, if you ask me.
I actually had to temporarily block the memes community because of this. Sorting by hot resulted in nothing but memes, and it was driving me crazy that they were doing the whole “post old memes” thing.
I love how you didn’t even read the sidebar of this community and just posted whatever you wanted anyway.
What the hell industry do you work in, then?
