    Only issue I often come across here in Sweden is that different companies use “veggie” differently. Some use it only for vegan products, others use it for vegetarian products and it’s not always clear which is which without reading the ingredients list. I’ve accidentally bought stuff with milk, cheese and eggs in them many times because it wasn’t clearly written anywhere and it’s easy to miss stuff when you’re at the store and reading the (often long) ingredient list of several things while in a hurry. It happens even more often with family and friends who aren’t vegan and buy stuff they usually don’t when they make food for you. In those cases I still eat the food, just point out the non-vegan ingredient(s) the product has and ask them to just look at the ingredients list when buying and/or even calling me so I can help them.

    As clearly shown in this thread. Sooo many deeply stupid comments. The vast majority agreeing with this change, general anti-vegan idiocy, and trolls. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a comment section for something even remotely related to veganism without shitty and dumb people like that, it’s like they sit and scour the whole Internet with every minute of their time, ready to jump in and act like children who got their lollipop stolen. They’re pathetic people.

    Dude(ette), I have nothing to do with this self hosting thing and even I knew years ago plex was shit. It’s been extremely obvious just from browsing reddit (before leaving) and lemmy. I don’t know anything about any of this other than plex having an extremely bad reputation. How did you manage to become part of this and still chose to use it?

    It used to have a “global” option, which was the default. But they, for some fucking reason, removed that a little while ago. It has become a much worse search engine since then. No idea what they were thinking, it has gone from my default and the only one I used to me now looking for alternatives.

    I’m just gonna go back to Kagi, still the best I ever used. I was just more poor than I usually am for a couple of months so couldn’t afford the monthly $10, but I’d much rather pay that for something I want to support and use a lot than using anything that takes your info and tracks you.

    Pretty sure this isn’t true for most people. I don’t listen to anything that I did as a teenager anymore. Sure, if I do hear some song from back then it’s nostalgic and I do put on a song now and then, mostly at parties when the topic comes up or you know others there would like it but it’s very much not part of my daily listening. And I feel the same kind of nostalgia for things I listened to in my 20s that aren’t part of my current tastes. But I never put on whole albums or playlists of just bands and songs from then. I’m certain that most of the music I listen to now would have been liked by my teenage self though, just hadn’t explored and expanded my taste and knowledge as much.

    And I feel people who only listen to stuff from their teens are kinda sad and I feel bad for them, they certainly have some trauma or other issues that make them stick to that and never want to explore both new music and themselves in what they might discover they like.
