I never argued the machine wasn’t doing its job. In fact, I bet it could do it without the presence of a social butterfly hovering over it all day.

The issue at stake here is that the people in a position to trick and scam everybody were clearly labeled as tricksters and scammers BEFORE those people put them into the position of power to do their tricking and scamming on a large scale. Then after that they dove headfirst into the tricks and the scams going “I’m owning the libs!” while their money was completely stolen from them in a tricky scam.

So, I would say that yes, to many people, suggesting that these fools didn’t deserve this completely is a controversial take.

I shop at costco at least once a week and since they put those machines up I’ve literally never seen one of those employees doing anything but chatting. Oh, sorry was I scheduled for an interrogation?

Unlike those card booping machine “watchers” I’m not getting paid for this chat.

Hey, the truck drivers, the cart pushers, every other position at that company deserves a raise as far as I’m concerned.

But those employees at the door can lick my taint if they think they deserve anything above minimum wage for doing FUCK ALL. They don’t even break eye contact from the conversation they’re having with the receipt checkers when you go through.

Not that kind, obviously.
